44 degrees and rain. Lots of it, actually, and there were deep puddles on the streets and sidewalks gurgling downhill with water towards drains. The Joybirds were lined up nicely at one of the parks, though, and I thought they looked nice all slick and tidy like that in the dark. (Photo Below) Then later, gas was $3.76 a gallon, and then I ran home.
Now here on the safe-n’-dry back porch with Simon, weekend news to report includes Holly helping me set up my new iPhone. It was delivered Friday afternoon, and I unboxed it feeling rather confident and giddy until the transfer of all my data and apps from the iCloud seemed to be taking forever, but Holly (who is the family tech pro by far) assured me it wasn’t always a snap-n’-go kinda thing, so I put it in my pocket and went to the Fulton Ward chili cook off with the rest of the family, which was fun, and the Cincinnati Chili Holly made won the award for “Most Meaty Chili” which was pretty great.
